White coaches parked outside a bus depot and workshop beside a lake

First the buses, depots, batteries and workshops. Then the software.

Laryan is a Swedish operating group. We traded buses, ran a coach operation, workshops, depots and energy assets first. Then we built the software we could not buy.

The physical world

Before the software, there was the yard.

The journey: from the yard to the screen

A way of building

You don’t understand an operation from a distance.

You get close. You buy the vehicle. You prepare it, maintain it and put it back to work. Then you start to see what connects it all.

That is how Laryan was built: from the work itself, then the companies, the sites, the energy and the software around it.

The journey — from the yard to the screen

Diagram of the Laryan system: vehicles and mobility, sites and property, energy, and data and software, all linked to one operation through the EnrouteQ platform.

Mobility, Infrastructure, Energy, Property and Software: connecting all five

Mobility • Infrastructure • Energy • Property and software, connecting the four

  2. The software

Built for what the operation needed. Two rivers meet.

Operation EQ Connect (in development) → The travel business BeeBus → The fleet business EQ Hub → The wash business EQ Wash → EnrouteQ became the platform for the fleet, while Truxel became the platform for the energy system, creating a shared layer across them.

  3. From 2018 · The infrastructure

Electrification changed the system: charging, grid, storage and sites.

Truxco Energy · Laryan Energy Storage

  4. The depot

Own what happens between journeys: workshop, wash, conversion and the ground underneath.

  5. 2018–2025 · The operation

We did not only sell buses. We operated them.

Former ownership of Thells Buss (2018 to 2025, sold) put us on the other side of the industry.

That changes what you think software should do.

From visibility to automation

First, make the operation visible.

We operate first and digitise second, so our software is written from inside the business it serves.

  • See

    Connect the data.

  • Understand

    Add operational context.

  • Predict

Know what will be needed next.

  • Optimise

    Find the best feasible response.

  • Act

    Execute approved actions.

  • Verify

Did the physical world respond as expected?

  • Escalate

Bring in a human when judgement is required.

Automate what should be automated
Surface what needs a human

The group

One group. Five divisions.

This is how the companies that do that work are organised and which company is which.

One bus

One bus. Seven years. One complete lifecycle.

It stands on the workshop floor today. What we learned from its life (condition, conversion, cost, downtime) became the systems and the software. The proof that the lifecycle is real is a physical unit, not a slide.

What this bus taught us: condition must be recorded, not remembered. That downtime is a cost you can only cut if you can see it. That the workshop, the site and the power it needs are one operation. From that came the workshop systems, then the site and energy work, then the software.
